Charli XCX Embraces a Hell Version of Her Own Identity in Fictional Documentary Preview
The celebrated musician is preparing for a major big screen appearance in 2026, kicking off with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, she portrays what she calls as a hell version of her own persona.
It’s the truest representation of the music business that I’ve ever seen, Charli stated.
She clarified in a discussion: It’s not a tour documentary, but the idea came from the expectation to make one.
A Glimpse into The Moment
The debut trailer, released on Thursday, combines authentic footage from Charli’s Sweat tour with imagined behind-the-scenes moments.
The film is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who explained that the narrative centers on a reality where the artist opted for alternate decisions throughout the promotion of her chart-topping release Brat.

A Busy Acting Schedule
The film is just one of several upcoming screen roles for Charli, who recently featured in three independent movies in the current year.

February will also see the debut of Emerald Fennell’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will include original songs from the artist.
