The Initial Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Remains Committed.
In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the death bells for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. The past year represented complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. However, judging purely by the titles headed to the service in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft remains determined to engage players with quality releases on its key platform.
The Available Now Titles
A pair of titles currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Robust Selection of Games
All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription alone. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — rendering them excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
