The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of characters who will separate from the main group to begin their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a intense initial meeting with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death initiated the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the region and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their status as key figures in House Halovar could assist the team reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This means them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Explorers and Strategists tables.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which players will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
